Modern Leaf Sterling Silver Post Earrings, inspired by Matisse, handmade
I have always loved the artist Henri Matisse, especially his beautiful paper cut-outs. These earrings were inspired by some of his abstract leaves. I cut them out by hand from sterling silver sheet using a jeweler's saw and slightly domed them for more dimension. I gave them a matte, brushed finish for a very contemporary look. They have sterling silver posts and ear nuts.
The earrings measure about 7/8" high (2.1cm) and 1/2" (1.8cm) wide.
Please allow for minor differences from the earrings pictured here, as each piece is completely handmade!
