Sterling Silver Patterned Tulip Earrings with Niobium Ear Wires
Sterling Silver Patterned Tulip Earrings with Niobium Ear Wires
To make these earrings, I first embossed a sheet of sterling silver with a leafy pattern using a rolling mill. Next, I cut out each tulip shape using a jeweler's saw. After smoothing all the edges, I added a patina to darken tha pattern. The last step was to sand the shapes to give them a matte finish, then I attached black finish hypo-allergenic niobium ear wires.
The tulip shapes are 1/2" (1.3cm) wide and 1/2" (1.3cm) high. They hang 7/8" (2.2cm) from the top of the ear wire to the bottom of the tulip shape.
