Enso Circle Earrings Sterling Silver Handmade
Sterling Silver Japanese Zen Enso Circle Earrings
I've interpreted the enso circle in these sterling silver earrings made from multiple circles of wire, ending in different lengths. Just like a painted enso circle, every earring will be slightly different. The earrings you receive will be similar in design and the same size as the ones pictured here. The circles are complemented by distinctive wavy ear wires.
The enso circle is a symbol in Japanese Buddhism that can represent many things, including enlightenment, strength, elegance, the universe, and the void. Japanese ink painting artists make the enso in one brush stroke. It can be open or closed--open symbolizing imperfection and closed symbolizing perfection.
The circles are approximately 7/8" (2.2cm) diameter. The earrings hang 1 1/2" (3.8cm) from the top of the earwire to the bottom of the circle.
I also offer an enso circle pendant.
